1. Who we are
Moonlight ("we", "us" or "our") provides a free, self-paced online lash training course, made available at no cost through our partnership with a third-party platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information when you apply for or access the course. We are committed to handling your information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. What personal information we collect
We collect the details you provide on our application form: your full name, email address and mobile phone number. We do not collect sensitive information such as health, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs or biometric data. If we ever need sensitive information, we will ask for your consent first.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to: confirm your application and reserve your free spot; contact you by phone, SMS or email to walk you through a short account setup with our partner and unlock your course access; deliver, support and improve the course; respond to your enquiries; and send you communications about the program. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time.
4. Disclosure to third parties
We share your name and contact details with our funding partner so they can set up your account and provide your course access. We may also use trusted service providers (such as hosting and email tools) who process information on our behalf under confidentiality obligations. We disclose information where required or authorised by law.
5. Storage and security
We store your information on secure, access-controlled systems and take reasonable steps to protect it against misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, in line with APP 11. No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, but we take practical measures to safeguard your information.
6. Retention
We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it to provide the course, respond to enquiries, or as required by law. After that, we delete or de-identify it.
7. Accessing and correcting your information
Under APP 12 and APP 13, you can request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. You can also ask us to stop using your information for marketing. To do any of this, contact us using the details below.
8. Direct marketing
Under APP 7, we may contact you with related offers. You can ask us not to use your information for marketing at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us. We will action your request promptly.
9. Cookies
Our site uses essential technical cookies to function properly. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
10. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
